Alternative Marrakech

The Gardens of Marrakech by calèche (by horse-drawn carriage)
The Jardins de la Medina enjoys a convenient location in the Kasbah and invites you to enjoy a unique ride in a horse-drawn carriage to discover the Gardens of Marrakech in a different way:
Your coach awaits you right outside the front door of the hotel and takes you to the nearby Méchouar. This word is derived from the Arabic word Sar Maswar  meaning the ‘Council Office’.
This courtyard situated close to each Royal Palace was used to administer justice or for large public gatherings. You will also see the Agdal Gardens, as vast itself as the entire Medina (old walled town), then the Menara Gardens, laid out under the Almohad Dynasty. At heart of these huge gardens of olive trees, is a huge irrigation basin which is overlooked by a very photogenic pavilion. Legend has it the Sultan threw his mistress from the balcony during the night. The tour continues through the peaceful gardens of the Koutoubia, ending at  Les Jardin de  Majorelle.
Created by the French painter Jacques Majorelle, then owned by Yves Saint Laurent, the gardens have since been fully restored but its
soul has been preserved......Bougainvillea, cypress, coconut and cactus palms and papyrus, all create a stunning floral design. Without doubt, one of the most beautiful urban gardens in the world.
At the end of this journey, you return back to the the green haven of your hotel for a cooling break in the shade of the large jacaranda........
